UCSD's newest addition is the East Campus Medical Center, a community hospital consolidated under UC San Diego Health providing medical services to the La Mesa, College East, El Cajon, and surrounding communities.

Finally, UCSD has a strong relationship with affiliate hospital El Centro Regional Medical Center, which provides fellows with the opportunity to work in a more rural and national border setting providing care to an underserved patient population.
